Actually, few weeks ago I approached salo.rock to express my idea that
he would be a very good AutoEditor. My intention was to nominate him
in July after he made a bit of experience with ARs and other parts of
MusicBrainz he was not familiar with. Drsaunde has been faster ;)
salo.rock is an excellent editor of Italian-related stuff. He
contributed and still contributes to the clean-up of many Italian and
Spanish artists. He has a very good understanding of the rules and of
the guidelines of MusicBrainz. We discussed often in edit notes and we
always reached solutions that would please both of us.
About his weak points: he did not vote much in the past and he did not
add many ARs. I will gloss over his votes, we all know that there are
AutoEditors who vote more and other who vote less. About his low count
of AR. Well, he did not much but all he did after I asked him was
great, he learned fast. Also he said to me that he postponed the ARs
because he felt that the discographies of many Italian authors had
bigger problems, how can I disagree with him?
All I can say is that I really enjoy working with him and I look
forward his ordination as AutoEditor.
