[Dave] Actually Iphone maps & crackberry have apps with nav. That show
traffic on interstates.. Fairly accurately, but I'm not sure about
"autorouting" around. I'm not real keen on Garmin's "detour" logic. In
fact, on my zumo sometimes it plain doesn't work. I haven't found a way to
"detour" in advance on a route you launch on the unit either. I'm otherwise
happy with it.
BTW I on the ride home on the bike yesterday I saw so many wannabe Lance
Armstrong's out and about. They would ride 3-4 wide through the park and
ignore the rest of the traffic. I actually had a couple of bikes riding the
double yellow into oncoming traffice. Share the road huh. My middle finger
is tired. Had to vent.
[Dave] I give them 2 beeps, downshift & throttle. If they're too stupid to
get out of the way, tough cookies. They want to ride multi-abreast, I'm
splitting between them. We get them on the GW Pkway obstructing traffic
quite a bit. They can be ticketed (obstructing) IF they're observed by a
cop, but they're never around.
I share your frustration, but just split between them leaving them in your
asphalt ripping wake.
