Matthew,
If you have TM open, then go to the Help Menu/Frequently Asked Questions
(FAQ's)...
You will get the TSI Website, click on the link above where it says
"Gereral Opertaion" in the list of optional categories, then click on
number where it says:
10. I can't figure out how to get my perforated Award Cards or Merit
Badge Blue Cards to print properly. What should I do?
The default settings for the Award Cards and Merit Badge Blue Cards
should work fine for most printers. However, if you are having trouble,
you may need to adjust these settings.
For more information on generating your cards and for help aligning the
report for your specific printer, please see our Card Alignment Guide
<
http://www.troopmaster.com/cards/> .
Then click on where it says Card Alignment Guide. Or, you can go to
TM Help Menu/View Troopmaster User's Manual on p93 where it states in
section "12.3 Awards/Advancement - Paragraph P": p. Merit Badge
Applications/Blue Cards. Use this option to generate the "blue
cards" that you must give to scouts when they start work on a merit
badge. Highlight the names of the scouts who are starting a badge and
then select the badge from the drop-down list. If the counselor who will
teach the badge is in your database, select him from the drop-down list;
otherwise, select "To be determined". Lastly, enter the badge
starting date and click Add. If you make a mistake, highlight the scout
and click Remove.
You can repeat this process as many times as needed until you've
selected all of the scouts and badges for which you need applications;
i.e., you don't have to run this option separately for each badge
that will be taught. The list box at the bottom of the dialog lists all
of the scouts you've selected and the badge each scout will start.
Scouts who are starting more than one badge can be listed more than
once.
While TroopMaster cannot print on the actual BSA "blue cards (Form
#34124), you can print the applications on paper or blank card stock,
such as Avery 5390's. If needed, you can adjust margins, card sizes,
spacing between cards (gutter spacing), etc.
When all of your scouts/badges are listed, click OK. TroopMaster will
print one side of the sheets and then stop and wait for you to reinsert
the paper or card stock into your printer. You must reinsert the pages
in the correct order and using the correct alignment; otherwise, the
back sides of your applications will not match the front. It's all
right there in the manual, as well as on Troopmaster's website. Ken
