I tried burning this CD 3 times and none of them worked, so that's out.  I'm almost certain that the CD drive is old enough that it doesn't boot from multisession CDs (that's so unusual for me. ;) )  I will try to burn a cd-rw with cd40.iso first, and then insert the original CD during package install.
