Hi,

I'm the new Debian package maintainer of [g]ddrescue
and am forwarding a wishlist request from Jean-Michel
which has been recorded in Debian's BTS as
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=407440

* Jean-Michel <jeanmichel.123@...> [20090813 16:48]:

> a pass counter might be displayed to the user.

Antonio:

* Any opinions about this wishlist issue?
* Do you have an idea how to simulate a broken device?

thx && regards,
-mika-

Ddrescue already shows the name of the pass being performed (each pass
does a different thing) and, when retrying, the retry number.

No, but Corvus Corax is working on it. See this message (Benchmarking
ddrescue)

Best regards,
Antonio.

Great, thanks for clarification, Antonio.
