your paste is from -i386. is it on both or only on the pasted -i386?

The package I uploaded with amd64 doesn't contain the mentioned dir.gz.
I got two reports but only from kfreebsd-i386 but the filelist doesn't
contain the dir.gz, too:
http://packages.debian.org/sid/kfreebsd-i386/wget/filelist (maybe not
1.12?)

The buildd log show that there is one in the kfreebsd-i386 (not
kfreebsd-amd64) package:

https://buildd.debian.org/fetch.cgi?&pkg=wget&ver=1.12-1&arch=kfreebsd-i386&stamp=1254870450&file=log

debian-bsd: Any idea why the buildd on kfreebsd-i386 added this file and
the other architecures not?

only -i386, sorry about that, misreported the arch.

The PTS rightfully reports the version on the wget binary page for
kfreebsd-* archs, but the filelist is indeed outdated (or there's
something even worse there?). Downloading the kfreebsd-i386 binary,
and calling dpkg --contents on it would show the extra file.

According to dpkg/install-info folks, it looks like autoconf now
notices install-info and runs it, leading to extra files. You then
have to make sure they don't end up in your binaries.
