Thanks, James. I'll pass it into our realms :)

Who's up for a short piece about this?

do we honestly want to put this up on the dot? it's not particularly thorough
nor glowing and it's of a tech preview.  i don't see what we gain by promoting
this particular piece other than lots of "fun" bikeshedding opportunities
pointed in the direction of the plasma netbook developers :)

for those not in the plasma-netbook-know, here's an example of the "not
particularly thorough" bit: the search field in the Search and Launch (SAL)
activity was completely missed by the author. which sort of defeats the
purpose of SAL almost completely. in the tech preview, the search field was
rather well hidden in the top panel: you had to click the "search" icon to get
it up. these days that search field is right in the SAL itself beneath the
Favourites bar and so rather impossible to miss.

so while it's great that people are checking it out, it doesn't really reflect
where we are right now and i'd personally prefer having to explain that to
more people than absolutely necessary.

what would be useful/helpful are people adding comments to such articles when
they appear adding more correct / up to date information to the conversation.

Ok, you certainly make a few good points, I wasn't thrilled by the article
either. But indeed adding a few more tidbits would make it a better blurb for
the dot...
