Using the filter (I also got rid of all my old events from 2008 and earlier in my Google calendar, but maybe I didn't need to!) worked! Thank you so much!!!

Do you have more than 300 entries in your calendar? Are they older
than the current date? The LG phones have a 300 item limit to the
calendar, and if you fill that up with events from a few months ago
the current events will not be there. Scroll back a few months and
see what you find.
The solution is to either use the import filter (which may crash
bitpim in the version you have) to limit to new events only, or have
your google calendar purge older events, then re-export and
import to
bitpim.
