Eleanna,

please see
http://jgap.sourceforge.net/doc/genes.html

The documentation could be outdated because of newer releases. If you
encounter such, please drop me a note and I will update it.

Best

Hi Klaus,

I am a bit confused as my Gene is a Stock and has two fields: returnValue
and risk. And the getInternalValue() will return this (the Stock). Is that
right? Should I better use a CompositeGene for the Stock, which will have
two Genes: ReturnValue and Risk?

Thank you.

Eleanna

Eleanna,

if the attributes of your gene, namely returnValue and risk, are completely independent, then you should use two different Genes. I assume this is not the case. If the two attributes are correlated in some way, you could use a CompositeGene.

If you maybe get to a source code and encounter difficulties, I could assist you if you sent me the code.

Best
