This was a design-choice to get maximum fps...
With a 'skinned' DAE we also 'brutely' transform the vertices even
more (they get offsetted each frame by the 'skinning algorithm')...
All this screws the face-normals.
Basically: right now its not easy to fix, but... of course I'm looking into it.
