Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live
as one wishes to live.
-- Oscar Wilde
Expressing one's personal beliefs is not necessarily asking others to believe.
It /is/ something that should be tolerated in a reasonably open society -- of
which I hope AJUG is a part. To be offended by another's personal beliefs is
more a problem for the offendee than the offender. (And a good solution, BTW,
is to realize that disagreeing with someone's viewpoint doesn't necessarily
mean we're being oppressed by it.)
If someone is inclined to express something about who they are unrelated to
the context of the email message then I guess the email sig would be just the
place to put it. That said, netiquette has something to say about the length
of one's sig...
Happy Independence Day everyone!
