Check the condition of the belts; kevlar belts are avail. thru a good auto machine shop.
You can trial & error (& common sense) play around with the shifting linkages/adjustments (best to be using a manual for reference). Also check the 'underworkings' of the machine (remove bottom pan)-(easy). If it sticks in 2nd reverse on my YS-624T it means the cotter pin has gone (at the end of the hex shaped shaft). This has happened more than once (the 'drive wheel' has travelled too far). Easy to replace w/standard cotter pin...
