Hi Nathan, Hello G3 Devils,

I've got the same problem. Actually I got stuck with some wordpress/wpg2 sites.

My first effort to crate a new wpg3 Plugin (for Wordpress) was notr very sucessfull, because of the state of gallery3 at this time and the different approach of integration compared to gallery2. In wpg3 I was trying to make a REST/json based integration and it didn't work with large g3 installs (as mine are in g2).

As I work more and more with Drupal lately I consider moving my wpg2 sites to Drupal.

I would be interested to work on a drupal-g3 module and I got some time and Drupal experience.
But: I need Support generating a Roadmap and a lot of discussion about the "how" to integrate.

I can't do much investigation on drupal.org by now, but we should before moving on.

Actually your proposal is just in time, because I considered making a wpg2->drupal install Profile.
But if there is some support I would love to work on a drupal-g3 Module.

Regards from germany

Thor

Seeing some activity on the list, I'd like to raise again the question of Drupal 7 embedding and a Drupal 7 integration module.

Drupal 7 lacks a solid gallery module at this point, and all the available solutions leave a great deal to be desired. The community recognizes this and Gallery 3 culd get a great deal of positive buzz if an integration module could be developed.

Am I missing something, or should this not be relatively easy, at least if we don't care about synchronizing user accounts and permissions?

On a personal note, my company is stuck on Gallery 2 and Drupal 6 due to the lack of an embedding solution. I'm not a qualified developer but I can parse code and search and replace as well as the next guy so I'd be glad to assist with moving this project forward. I could also provide a sandbox on our firm's Ubuntu 11 server.

Thanks,

Nathan Phoenix
