Something that got lost from that message... I meant to say that after trying
everything I could lay my hands on, I actually found Rosegarden did the best
job overall of coping with human stuff and producing a legible result. There
were some situations where Application X did a much better job with a couple
of bars in something, but on balance it was always cheaper to clean up those
two bars than to fix the mess Application X made everywhere else.
Rosegarden is actually rather good at this, although it still leaves a lot to
be desired, and making sheet music out of a performance is still just too
much work.
