First of all, you have given me some real answers.
I am just starting with the business of trying to help my wife.
We had a choice to use to pirated, old software from Windows
and I said "NO Way!!". If we have to learn from zero, at least start
with some good software on a better system than Windows.

I have been very pleased with what I've seen. Since I didn't know that
I had fallen onto a holy grail, I thought I must be doing something stupid.

Since writing the message I found how to use the Metronome in a better
way so it is easier to know the start of the bar. Like everything else, it
takes time and patience to learn. The most important thing which you told
me is the limits of what I can expect.

I will try my hand at getting rid of that rest, which drove me crazy as well.
So I have some new experiments to try and I thank you again for your
suggestions and your experience.
