I would push pretty hard against using Flash Authoring unless you're
making linear, animated art - like Sourth Park episodes.

If you're planning on building interactive rich clients and unable to
publish to the Flash 9 Player, you'll definitely want to get MTASC and
SWFMill going instead.

Ideally though, you'd be better off moving to Haxe or ActionScript 3 -
either of which can publish to the much faster Flash 9 Player.
