Yes, sure it wont challenge the competitors, but I've always been excited about this concept for the following reasons:
* 8 cell communication is better than switching (probably)
* it could be used for 'context' - i.e. adding information to other input methods - e.g. switching/keyboard access etc...
* it could be used with simplified interfaces (e.g. MAAVIS) to provide access to common tasks....
* It is cool!
I have scanned the ITU paper - which finds it is comparable to other eyegaze systems, but there are obvious biases in it - well, I would have said, instead, 'it is comparable to other eye gaze systems, without cursor enhancements, when using StarGazer (I would have tried it with Gaze Talk instead too)...'.
Will try it as soon as we can get at it!
Cheers, have a nice bank holiday all.
Simon

I'll hopefully be trying it out it within the next month and reporting back in early June. I'll be very pleasantly surprised if it has Tobii, EyeTech, LC Technologies et al quaking in their boots, though...

Wow, exciting stuff! I'm going to be sprinting at work for most of this week, but will definitely check it out over the weekend.
