Hi Nicolas,
I installed it on a system with 3 dxr3 cards installed that plays videos
around the clock on them.
I experience some random video freezes. This "freezes" seem like very
slow motion, I have a chunk of sound every second, although video is
still. A freeze appears on one of the cards at a time, and so far I have
experienced it on two of the installed cards. In one case, the system
managed to recover from the freeze by itself after some time (I don't
know exactly how much, but should be several minutes).
Kernel is 2.6.24-gentoo-r4
Playback is handled by player.
All videos are MPEG2 encoded with mencoder.
mplayer options are like this: mplayer -ao oss:/dev/em8300_ma-0 -vo
dxr3:noprebuf:sync:norm=0:0 -framedrop -autosync 30 -cache 16384 movie.mpg
I have not enabled prebuf because it creates choppy video and randomly
makes mplayer use 100% of cpu for each video.
I had no such issues with the previous version of the em8300 installed,
although I didn't use "sync" in mplayer with it. I had to enable it with
this version though, since I had choppy video without it.
It would be helpful to have the kernel modules print the card identifier
with its kernel logs.
Now I have logs like this:

However, I cannot figure out if something is relevant to the frozen card.
