I had another freeze now. There is a pair of these logs every second
during the freeze:
[57195.018933] em8300_video.c: Video Fifo timeout
[57195.018974] adjusting scr: 289899009
When these are printed I get a chunk of sound.
mplayer does not complain about anything.
I also found that these freezes are frequent enough. Several movies with
2 hours duration, now get 3 to 4 hours to be completed. This means that
the system recovers, but there are long freezes in between.
In the past I had instant "video resets" (video stuck for a second, a
green screen flash, video continues). I also have such issues now, but I
suspect that a few of them may have the new effect of "slow motion".
