Thanks for replying and for the wonderful work you do, maintaining dxr3.
I was not using 1.17.1, so I cannot judge.
I switched to xine and most of my problems (kernel logs, a/v sync,
freezes) have gone.
It seems that mplayer support for dxr3 is totaly broken and to my
understanding dxr3 for mplayer is unmaintained.
In xine, my key problem is that subtitles rendering on dxr3 is broken:
subtitles timing seems to be off by more than 50% (a complete movie
shows less than 40% of its subtitles).
Well, this means that actually, dxr3 on linux does not have a single
media player that can show mpeg2 movies right! It would be super if you
guys could maintain the dxr3 plugins for the key linux media players.
Anyway, I'll be glad to help in any way I can.
Do you want me to do any tests?
