Jean-Bastien,

        (I hope I got your name right.)  Thank you very much for the
documentation.  I am converting it to a text file that we can put in the
"freeglut" distribution.  I am naming the file "LISEZMOI.cygwin_mingw";
please let me know if you have a better name for it.  I'm also putting up
an English version ("README.cygwin_mingw").  Would you be so kind as to
look it over and check it for errors?

Ok me, it's me again.

I've spent a few hours (say, some evenings :/) on the problem, and
eventually found a solution.

I've written a tutorial about it.
For the moment, it's in french, but it could be useful for people wanting
to use Freeglut with Cygwin, without "cygwin1.dll" dependancies.
I'd rather use my mother tongue than another one i don't speak very well.
Sorry for those who don't understand french, they could use
google-translation (the
tutorial is pretty straightforward).

Jean-Sébastien,

        I have already uploaded the files to the official SVN site ... including the line about "all the courageous maintainers of Freeglut, that one believed dead, but which still move."  I should have fixed that a bit more:  "all the courageous maintainers of freeglut, whom one believed dead, but who still move."  Rumors of my death have been exaggerated, as Mark Twain once said.

Hello,

It seems that my firstname was thrashed by utf-8 encoding.
Correct firstname is "Jean-Sébastien", or, without the accent "Jean-Sebastien" (a lot of french people write it without accent, so write it as you want :) ).

Ok. Perhaps i could review it before inclusion, for removing the jokes i put into the text on my blog.
As it's for "official" distribution, it will be more "professional".

No problems, you can send-it directly to "jseb at finiderire dot com" or post it in the ML, as you want.

Speaking of "Go freeglut 2.6.0", what are the outstanding issues that stand between us and RC1?  I've not seen much (if any) activity besides my "AT_EXIT" modifications.

Hello John;

Ok i've got the SVN sources.
As an anonymous user, i don't know if i can commit updates. It's a bit late here, i look further tomorrow.

I've done a quick review this evening and i saw some glitches in the text. I will try and correct them. It would be nice if you could correct
my english mistakes.

Nice quote.
So you still move. Go Freeglut 2.6, go go go! :)
