Sorry for the long reply. The Rino series is nice for having people in your
group who have no sense of direction. Every 30 seconds to a minute after you
transmit you will be sending an encoded set of coordinates. Any other Rino
user will then see your last transmitted location on their GPS. It really is
no harder than that.
Saying that, my wife and I used them for a while, now my wife and daughters
use it. I have never had a problem with locating any of my ladies, they are
terribly noisy in the woods. If I do use a GPS I have a Magellan that I
prefer.
