Hi Chris,  due to the basis of GeoRSS, that it simply adds Geospatial
markup to RSS and Atom, you should use a more general RSS & Atom
parsing library. If the library doesn't support the Geo* then that
little piece could be added.

Perhaps someone can add/expand the list of syndication libraries that
support GeoRSS to the georss.org site? I know there has been support
added to Python FeedParser and Ruby FeedTools as well as various Java
libraries.

Also, it's RSS, hence GeoRSS - not GeoRss (I think Microsoft
mistakenly uses GeoRss).

There are the commonly used Earthquake GeoRSS. A few other example
services that currently serve GeoRSS are: Flickr, Yelp, Mapufacture,
Eventful, Topix, SmugMug, Platial, GroupsNearYou, BrightKite. Have you
looked at these services yet?

Looking forward to hearing more about the tools you are building.
Andrew

btw,

some time ago I was going through some large list of feeds posted a
year ago to this list in response to some big guy from microsoft maps
division. what has impressed me was that from all the feeds I checked,
there was not a one not using "deprecated" W3C Geo encoding.
