I faintly recall that the "white box" window is related to a conflict
with FLTK gui in Csound,
can you try running with the -d commandline flag ? (or without it, if
I remember this the other way around)
Do check the .csoundrc file to see if -d is there or not, as the
commandline flags from .csoundrc are valid unless overridden by the
commandline call (or csd options).
