your hudson acts like a pack of sleeping-pills ...
no error-messages or warnings in the logs ?

what container is it running on ? could your monitor
resource-consumption ?

myCompany uses hudson nearly for a year now and
we have not seen such a behaviour so far. maybe
some plugin you use ? git-plugin for instance.

we run on tomcat-5.5.27 and have installed git-plugin
too but do not use it so far.
