I've replaced the exit 0 with modprobe vboxdrv.
When the client boots I checked and the rc.local contained modprobe vboxdrv, but I still could not start the Vbox machine. So it looks like the modprobe in the rc.local has not worked - I had to go in as SU and type the modprobe command for it to work.

I'm finding that when I run drblpush and keep the existing settings on the clients this file is still overwritten so it looses the changes I put into it.
At the moment after I run drblpush I run my own script that modifies the modules file for each node and this seems to work fine.
