I did export the vars in the eXo.sh script. but this did not work for me. I ran eXo in "debug" mode from a terminal which let me see what it was doing... it looked like it was having some failures from Java, I think I messed this machine up evaluating portals (trying to pick one for a client). So I'm doing a whipe of everything and a fresh install, where I'll install eXo first.
Another question. just to try an keep things as simple as possible on my new OS install, (Ubuntu) I installed the tomcat5.5 from the package manager, which means we have Tomcat up and running before we install eXo. is there a guide you or someone else can point me to on how to install eXo into an existing tomcat install?
(also I installed Java6 rather than java5 I hope this wont cause any problems ;) )

Two things :
- Are you launching Tomcat using the eXo.sh shell script ?
- If yes, could you try to export all the variables defined into that script
? We had some reports saying that this operation is needed in some
environments. I'm not sure if this is fixed in the version you have.
