I have been contacted by a woman in the NYC area and I told her I would try
and locate someone to help her. I hope that one of you can help the aunt of
an 11 year old autistic girl who has very limited language skills, and who
received her AAC device 2 years ago. She doesn't use it to communicate
because she and her family don't know how. The aunt is looking for someone
who specializes in Assistive Technology and AAC who can help her niece
communicate. She has very limited language.
The aunt is looking for a therapist to work in the home (Brooklyn, Mill
Basin area) on behalf of the mom, and she can provide you with the mom,
Lori's, phone number.
I am passing along this limited information in hopes that one of you are
