Thanks for your reply, Danny.
The link you mentioned teaches only the way to build
maps of US and some other other places.
 
But, I hope there's a way to build a map of my local place,
a countryside of China.
The .rdm files are binary that's hard to read and the HELP files
dont tell actually the format of the map or the .rdm file :(
 
For this case, which map format in the following can I use? Or None of them can I use :( ?
 
  • US Census Bureau (TIGER data)

  • OpenStreetMap

  • Canadian RNF (Road Network File) maps

  • Digital Charts of the Words
  •

    you should add your data to www.openstreetmap.org, and then use
    roadmap (or, one of the other openstreetmap rendering programs) to
    display it.  this is probably the easiest way, since there is already
    a converter from OSM format to roadmap .rdm format.

    you haven't told us what format your map data is in currently.
