Hi,

Try to compile Player 2.1.x, afair client programs compiled against 3.x
should still be able to talk with that version.
If you still need to install Player-3.0.1 on somewhat ancient RedHat 7.3,
start with compiling cmake-2.6.x (or cmake-2.4.8) on it. I was able to
compile it on CSW environment for Solaris which still provides gcc 2.9x so
I guess you'll be able to do that on RedHat 7.3.
