If you use a username of eg. "blah" in EGroupware you have to choose
"Virtual Mail Manager" AND set the domain "blah.com", to get EGroupware
to conntect with "blah@..." to your IMAP server.
Maybe that's your problem.

I have tried that.
I have also tried to set "Username/Password defined by admin" and entered email address and password.
In both cases eGW cannot connect to the IMAP server and dovecot logs the same (see in my first post below: no email address at all).
What's the difference between testimapserver.php and the productive connection?
The former is working, so the problem must be in eGW.

I'm testing out the latest SyncML patched eGW (thanks, Jörg)
eGroupWare-1.6.002+SyncML-Extensions-20091025, and the recurring events only
display the first occurrence of the event on this Nokia E90 (software just
updated), none of the repeats.
I'm using the 1.1 protocol (1.2 throws an error) and there's a lot of output
to the error log. Is this a known issue with Nokia or a problem with
recurring events and what should I be looking for in the log files?
thanks,
