One of the changes that is biting me on an upgrade is that Input Form([table];"nonexistantform") now throws an error if the form doesn't exist. yet, there's no way to see if the form exists before calling Input Form. I'm trying to figure out if they can be put together into a cohesive set of code and methodology, and along with third-party tools for other platforms, the germs of the whole thing are starting to take place. My current tool of choice for cross-referencing code is AutoDoc, from Committed. http://www.committedsoftware.com/autodoc.html I have not tried to use the XML portion of AutoDoc, but there are some ideas there. Also, for documenting structure schema etc. I'm looking at converting the 4D structure into MySQL, and then using some better tools on that side to do things. This may seem like a long-winded way to do things, but it may give me ideas for what's missing on the 4D side. Of course, all this would be more useful if we could collaborate, but I'd prefer to avoid a publicly discussed forum where there's a lot of talk and little action. - m.
