I'm not sure sucking the portal into Facebook is really the right
model. What seems more attractive is leveraging Facebook's "what just
happened" centricity to push notifications of events from Sakai into
the Facebook stream. Or to push individual tools, or a synoptic tool
out as a Facebook app. But focusing on content as opposed to markup
level integration.

If your institution is using CAS, the 3.1 RCs have contributed Google
Apps support. Some configuration of Web Content to gatekeep initial
requests through CAS should allow you to bridge a SSO session.

What might also be interesting is a Google Widget holder tool --
something that provided a hosting environment to grab existing
functionality and run it inside a Sakai site -- instead of rolling
our own map widget, we could just borrow Google's. Of course, with
the new support for embedding widgets in web sites, we might be able
to leverage Web Content again.
