I thought the same but here is what Grant Kim wrote:
"Let me clarify a bit. LightZone Linux is currently in Beta. This means
there is NO support available for LZ Linux. Linux users may use the
forum to see if other users have similar problems. Linux users may
email us to share an issue or problem, but do not expect a response.
Light Crafts development team does view the forums to look for common
issues, but cannot respond individually.
Also, we are now creating a Linux Topic here in the forums for Linux
users to communicate to each other."
They want to see hom much noise will their release do, how many users
will contribute. Then they decide what to do with linux release (that's
why there is no clear statement about policy, pricing etc.)
