Re: MP3 Decoder in VHDLHello,
I am working on mp3 decoder for my cource project recently. I have surveyed lots of paper, standard about mp3 decoder process, but still didn't know how to implement. Did anyone have the source code in verilog or VHDL, can send to me. That would be very helpful!!! mail:syuyang@... ----- Original Message ----- From: penny1way<penny1way@y...> To: Date: Wed Sep 13 07:22:44 CEST 2006 Subject: [oc] MP3 Decoder in VHDL > I'm interested in testing your mp3 decoder. Can someone just remove it from the archives? Ahmed, just take a look at the messages that these people are replying to. Check their dates. There is no MP3 fairy. This is just a list of people who can't be bothered to read the messages they're replying to. If they're that lazy, what on earth could they do with the sources, even if they existed? You are right, this is opencores. Why are then people not able to download the code from opencores, but dig out old emails that get quoted over and over again, asking for that code? I am curious what happened to all those requesters, as they all state that they have to develop a MP3 core. Wouldn't that generate numerous cores and as this is opencores, shouldn't they all appear here? Re: MP3 Decoder in VHDLMy guess is that all of them failed whatever project class they had to
write an mp3 decoder for :) Mike On 12/28/06, Günter Dannoritzer <dannoritzer@...> wrote: > Ahmed Ben Abdallah wrote: > > Why i think that we are in opencores site so please send the source code to > > everybody in order to ameliorate it and we will not use it to commerce > > purposes . > > It seems very interessant!! > > You are right, this is opencores. If it wasn't listed at all maybe people wouldn't send the email. As far as I can tell, no one ever uploaded any files to the mp3 decoder project. If someone in the future decides to write and submit one, then they can make a new project for it. Speaking of uploading projects, I want to upload my raggedstone1 PCI core port, but I can't seem to figure out how to check in the sources. Does anyone have directions for how to do this with linux? All the directions I found were for windows. Thanks, Jeff _______________________________________________ http://www.opencores.org/mailman/listinfo/cores |

I see now: cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@...:/cvsroot/anonymous checkout video_compression_systems > Did this FAQ not help? > > http://www.opencores.net/faq.cgi/section/7/7.2#7.2 yep, it did. thanks. cvs -d:pserver:jcarr@...:/cvsroot/jcarr login cvs -d:pserver:jcarr@...:/cvsroot/jcarr checkout raggedstone cvs -d:pserver:jcarr@...:/cvsroot/jcarr add README cvs -d:pserver:jcarr@...:/cvsroot/jcarr commit _______________________________________________ http://www.opencores.org/mailman/listinfo/cores |

The project is here: http://www.opencores.org/projects.cgi/web/decoder/overview And the files can be downloaded from here: http://www.opencores.org/projects.cgi/web/decoder/mp3_decoder.zip What makes it harder to find is that when entering the project area of opencores.org, that the project is not listed. The view filter has to be set to "Projects/Cores ... ALL" as the project is not marked as ready. _______________________________________________ http://www.opencores.org/mailman/listinfo/cores |
