Thanks guys, I know the MP4 reader needs some love but I just haven't had time recently :(

I'm certainly glad that Andrei shares his in-depth findings with us! We welcome any kind of direction or patches that any of you "gurus" can provide in this area and will add them right away. BTW I seem to recall the ctts atom but I don't remember if I use it or what its for exactly.

Anything above 2-4 Mbit/sec and it will stall at a certain point, sometimes after 5 seconds sometimes after 20 seconds but it will stall and never continue playing again. Last test I did was on 0.9.RC2 I think. Since I'm aware Tiago was working on it I decided to give it some rest.

 

Small (say 500 kbit/s) mp4/h.264 files play better for some reason but even those can stall suddenly at random points e.g. at 2:30 minutes.

The logs are in the /red5/logs directory. I've seen this issue with some mp4 files, it will stop when the buffer is full.. not sure why it occurs.
