MRE's are not that bad tasting, but as mentioned
before are heavy for lightweight purposes, even if you
field strip them(Remove all excess packaging and items
you dont need). Not mentioned is how much water you
must drink to process them. I was told(don't know if
it is true) that it takes about a gallon of water to
fully process an MRE through you system. That isn't a
problem for the military, because support personnel
will have plenty of water available. In short, I'd
look elsewhere.
