You might try creating an Aggregate Device that contains  all the Inputs and
Outputs for each machine and set that as the Default device in Sound
Preferences.

You have to set up the Aggregate Device in Audio Midi Setup.

There are a number of references. Google Aggregate Device setup.

Sorry I don't have an elegant way to do it.
