Zafer, Istanbul'dan merhaba...
I think it is my fault, probably, although i followed the steps as decribed. After kernel upgrade, i installed new kernel and once i restarted OS, it restarted itself after 30 secs later.
Now i reinstalled netbsd4 kernel, and checked /var/log/messages. I see:
-----/var/log/messages------------------------------------
May 20 04:52:43 localhost savecore: no core dump
May 20 04:52:44 localhost apmd: cannot open device file `/dev/apmctl'

May 20 04:53:53 localhost gconfd (username-359): starting (version 2.16.0), pid 359 user 'username'

/home/username/.gconf exists and writable. Strange.
Zafer,
I have KDE, Pardus theme, openoffice and lots of softwares installed. After upgrade, all /usr/pkg/* will remain and keep original settings?
I'm an intermedieate user, can compile my kernel etc.
