Sorry Eoin, your post lost the tag and I didn't see it until now.

There is no reason why OBDLink shouldn't work with your XL7. OBDII is used
for emissions testing, and all 1996+ US vehicles must be compliant. I think
the problem has more to do with your particular setup, than Suzukis in
general. I have a few things for you to try, I sent you a private message.
