Interesting. I wouldn't have expected OpenAL Soft to create such a large
difference between versions. Were these tests done on the same system with the
same configuration? What is the system's and OpenAL Soft's configuration? The
more info you can provide, the better. :)
The biggest increases in CPU consumption I'd have expected to happen from the
inclusion of EFX (which happened around 1.2 or 1.3), the multi-channel
remixing (1.7), or the multiple sends/slots (GIT), which doesn't line up with
those numbers very well..
