Hi James,

I had simialr problems when I first took delivery of my Overo Air and Tobi boards, I have two of each.

After searching through these pages I finally found the following link:

I downloaded all of the necessary pre-built packages and then copied them to Micro SD as instructed at the Gumstix pages... http://www.gumstix.net/Documentation/view/Overo/Creating-a-bootable-microSD-card/109.html.

On powering up the system I had to make further changes to get wifi, ethernet and Dropbear ssh all of which I now have working. I still do not have hdmi out, but I do not need this and I am now trying to build the mainline over-oe software.

Basically I was at the same point you are, I thought the boards were damaged, but it turned out that I just had to load the correct software and hey presto. It would be nice if they had shipped with this, but you can't have it that easy it seems.
