Maybe I was too resolute but this is only because of my poor English.
(In this sentence I had learned a new word.)
In my eyes it seem like a little mistake. especially the missing edge of
the bowl.
But those were only my thoughts.
I saw that you intend to try it the other way - ok, try it.
I think, this kind of subject need to be "stable" not dynamic.
