pk2cmd is for PICKit 2. It does not work for PICkit 3. There is
no support of OS X right now for PICKit 3. The only solution
right now may be to use a Virtual Machine.
With MPLAB 8.33, there is a pk3cmd now for PICkit 3. But they
have not released the sources and it is only for Windows.
