It definitely is worth a look, I disagree though, the current webconf
can be enhanced and I worked on a few little things myself which are
just a first step in the direction of what could be done with the
existing framework.

I have no experience with lua, haserl has its limits, but can do a lot
without adding a new interpreter.

All I can say is

"web programmers wanted for a web interface on Bering"

As soon as I am back ashore..., now sitting aboard a sailing yacht in
the Bahamas, I will sacrifice a little energy on moving the web
interface further.

Things I am missing are mostly web interfaces for

IPSEC
OPENVPN
NETWORKING/WIFI
