I once spent some time on a similar problem at work.
The problem never occured when I was around.
Then I got an idea: I printed a large document
and I shut down the PC of the end user before
the document was completely printed.
Junk characters appeared. Problem solved.
A pity I couldn't charge the end-user for wasting
my time.
