I think I am the "stutterer" you mentioned...In checking my plugs after the
clip move, I felt they appeared a tad to lean for my taste.
Just yesterday I got the bike back on the road with needle clip back in the
middle notch - but I also adjusted my pilot screw. I found that I had one
at 2.75 turns out, another at 1.5 turns and the other two at different
spots in between! I rode it for the first time today (work commute) -
stutter gone, pulls nicer. dont know impact on fuel economy yet, but will
report back when I do.
It may be that it worked for A2 due to other jetting factors - for example,
perhaps I could of left clips in the leaner spot, and adjusted all 4 pilots
consistent to say 2 turns out.
