Hi Paolo

I try to watch zVM console to configure the zVM,
but can not start the
console I can only see the command line of Hercules,
I've tried via
tn3270, you can tell me how to configure the tn3270
additionally send
the log and zVM print of what I see in the hercules

I could not boot up with the load parm 320, forces the loadparm is 01f

has to do something the IP address of the pc

Thanks

Define the following devices:

0000 SYSG

0320 3270 (and others 3270 if you like)

with

LOADPARM 320

Start Hercules

create 2 TN3270 sessions (to 000 and 0320)

IPL 100 (address of VM RES DASD)

on terminal 320 it will appear the loader CP Nucleus screen and then the Z/VM Operator screen; on terminal 000 just Z/VM Online.

Regards.

1) SYSG is not supported with your version of Hercules (3.04); but it is not stricly required; only nice to see.:). Anyhow you should define it as 000 SYSG and NOT 000 3270 SYSG (only with Hercules 3,06).

2) define your 3270 in config file starting from 320 (cancel 200-206).

3) loadparm 320 (better to define it in the config file).

4) start a TN3270 session (IP address 127.0.0.1 if started on the same PC as Hercules, otherwise us IP address of PC wher you have Hercules).

5) IPL 100

on terminal 320 you will see the loader screen an then  the Operator startup screen.

So in your config file:

cancel 000 3270 SYSG
define 320-327 3270
define loadparm 320

Now it should work.
