When I want to read the latest blogs an other information that is not typically on the official Scala site, I search Scala on DZone.

Scala-Lang doesn't get everything, there's still a lot of material
being missed in the wild.

What I plan to do is have a catalogue on lsug.org, with some way for
visitors to recommend new entries.
