I am particularly curious about how many connections Red5 can handle and what serves as a function for increased performance?

What hardware and software should I combine with Red5 to stream to approx. 2 million subscribers, viewing a single Red5 stream?

Man:

You would definitely need to build the application appropriately.  In regards to the load you described.  It would require software routing algorithms, load balancers, edge-origin configuration and Terracotta.  If you are in need support or consulting on these, please feel free to contact me off list.  Thanks.
